We were previously funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and are currently carrying out the “‘Fighting against COVID-19’ Emergency Support Project for Persons with Disabilities”. On 27 May, at the Chan Fuk Sing Resource Centre, we distributed anti-epidemic short-term supplies to our members. Members were divided into morning and afternoon sessions to collect supplies at the centre, and we are grateful for the support provided by the Hiking and Leisure Volunteer Team volunteers on that day.

Understanding that some members face difficulties in traveling and cannot come to the Chan Fuk Sing Resource Centre to collect supply packages, we specially arranged for volunteers from the Hiking and Leisure Volunteer Team volunteers to deliver supply packages to members’ homes on 4 June. On the delivery day, volunteers were divided into 30 teams, with nearly a hundred volunteers mobilised to visit various areas across Hong Kong Island, the New Territories, and Kowloon, delivering supply packages to members’ residences.

Before departure, the volunteers were spirited, gathering at the Chan Fuk Sing Resource Centre, where the General Secretary, William Chan Hei Lung, thanked the volunteers for their participation and support. He briefed them on the delivery tasks and safety precautions, distributed necessary supplies, and the volunteers then set off.

Despite the hot weather, the volunteers were determined to serve the members. Despite the scorching sun, the volunteers were able to successfully complete their tasks, and we sincerely thank them for their hard work.
