The MTR Corporation invited service organisations for visually impaired individuals to trial the “MTR‧Care” App. Member William Au Wing Kwong and Project Officer Wilson Lau Kwok Lam attended the trial at the Convention and Exhibition Centre Station on October 25, 2022, to test the navigation function of the “MTR‧Care” App.

Representatives from RAHK, under the guidance of MTR staff, used the navigation function of the Social Inclusion Mobile App to navigate to locations such as restrooms and platforms. They provided feedback and suggestions on the app, such as the ability to search for another facility directly upon reaching the destination without returning to the main menu and displaying facilities near the destination point rather than facilities near the starting point after reaching the destination.

The MTR representatives stated that the app will update the nearby facilities upon reaching the destination, ensuring that facilities near the destination are displayed, rather than those near the starting point. They will conduct further checks.
